This is the story of my journey as I attempt to establish roots and do more than just "Live on the Surface".

My mom is in New Zealand....

and then going to Brisbane until the end of November.  I know she is missing being in the same country as the kids so this post is written to her.

Hey Ma!

Got your email the other day.  I am glad you and Larry made it safely.  Sorry to hear the seats were so close together.  It must be early afternoon Monday for you now.  Sigh.  Makes me miss my worldly travels.

We took the kids to lots of parties this week and trick or treating with Tamlyn and her family today.  The kids had a GREAT time and were really good at ToTing and I think they are going to be dissapointed tomorrow when they find everything relating to sugar has dissapeared from the house.

We took lots of pics (all of which are on FB) but here are a few of my favorites.  Also, at the end of this is a video the kids recorded for you.  Make sure your sound is on!

They wore their cowboy costumes for 2.5 seconds!  This was at Bush Wildlife party on Saturday.

He is SO over me and the camera.

Playing games at the party.

Did someone say BOUNCE?

They spent most of their tickets at the bounce house!

And this is what we were left with.

They were on their way to another party and didn't make it.

Carving pumpkins today with daddy.  They weren't that into it as you can see.

On the way to Tams.

View the tutu while you can.  She is not into the fuss that it comes with!

Their chariot...

Let the candy hoarding begin...

They were SO cute.
Well Ma.  I hope you enjoyed a insiders view to our weekend.  Have fun.  Please be safe.  I love you and can't wait for you to come home.

Give Larry a proper hug for me!

You know what the best thing about kids is?

The fact that you can forget to brush your teeth and they don't tell you.  Gross.  The fuzz is so thick you could weave a sweater.

I was so busy today trying to get my house back in order after three solid weeks of neglect that I completely forgot to brush my teeth.  Who does that?

The funny thing?  I helped them brush thier teeth this morning and it never occured to me that I may need to do the same.

Party was a success!

Lots of hard work went into what resulted in a fun filled few hours!  The kids had a great time even though Sloane refused to wear a costume and insisted on picking out her outfit.  She is very fashion forward you know.

Welcome to our Halloween Party!

Spiders ARE big in Florida!

Kids Craft table included "paint your own masks, pumpkins, stamps (which turned into Tattoos) and Playdough.
Swag Bags...

Stickers, Straws, Cups, Bubbles, Tamlyn's Custom Coloring Books, Tamlyns homemade Halloween Playdough, Tamlyn's Hand Dipped Pretzel Rods and my handmade crayon rolls (I will post instructions in another post)
 Guest tables
The centerpieces were made from scrapbook paper flowers and I used sand to keep them steady.  You will probably see something like this again from me in the future!

Our haunted drink wagon.....

and here comes the food:

Sweets and grown up drink table.  Daisy chain made from left over scrapbook paper.

Menu board translation, Hot Dogs, Chicken Fingers, Jumbo Boiled Shrimp and Red Pepper dip.

Tamlyn did a great job with the desserts.  Cupcakes, White Chocolate dipped Oreos, Pretzel Rods and Pudding Graveyards.

Entire Spread.

The party was a lot of fun and we will be doing it again next year!

Time to use Shutterfly to save all of our images and make some great gifts!
